Jimmy White
Jimmy White, aiming to reach the Crucible for the first time since 2006, moved into the penultimate qualifying round of the Betfred World Championship with a 10-3 thumping of James Wattana.


Veteran White, age 52, came from 2-0 down to win ten of the last 11 frames with a top break of 106. He now meets Matthew Selt, a 10-8 winner over Lyu Chenwei.


Steve Davis also moved into the second round with a dramatic 10-9 win over Jamie Cope on Friday night. The six-time World Champion potted the last pink and black in the deciding frame to set up a match with Kurt Maflin or David Grace.


Robert Milkins, who narrowly missed out on an automatic slot at the Crucible, battled to a 10-6 win over William Lemons with a top run of 105. Belgium's Luca Brecel white-washed Saqib Nasir 10-0 with a top break of 100.


Sam Baird saw off Tony Drago 10-7 while Thailand's Thanawat Tirapongpaiboon impressed in a 10-3 win over Kyren Wilson.
